Ark Data Centres has announced that it has secured a loan of £700 million ($902m). The UK data center firm plans to use the funds to refinance an existing credit facility and partially expand its data center campuses. The loan was structured by ING. Lloyds, ABN Amro, Crédit Agricole CIB, NordLB, and HCOB were the Mandated Lead Arrangers. HSBC, NIBC, and Sabadell were the leade arrangers, while Investec was the arranger. The company said the book was oversubscribed, with institutional banks, new banks, and existing lenders showing interest.

The managing director at ING’s TMT sector finance team, Sicco Boomsma, said the loan is one of the biggest sustainability-linked ones in the UK data center market. He said this is a great achievement for the company, and it shows that Ark DC is positioning itself as a top sustainable data center company.
