Angola Cables announced the opening of its carrier neutral AngoNAP data center in Fortaleza, Brasil earlier today. The Tier III designed data center will cater for the growing demand in content data transmission in the Southern hemisphere. The facility is a primary interconnection point for two major intercontinental submarine cable networks, the South Atlantic Cable System (SACS) and Monet and can accommodate other submarine cables systems and data connections in Fortaleza for businesses and entities seeking to deliver data and expand their digital offerings in Brasil and Latin America and internationally to the USA and Africa.
AngoNAP Fortaleza will provide support for the rising demand from local and global content enterprises, connecting entities form cloud and content service providers to financial services firms that are reliant on colocation and low latency interconnection services across continents.

Located in one of the most important and concentrated cable center hubs in South America, the AngoNAP Fortaleza data center is carrier neutral. The infrastructure of the data center has been specifically designed to receive any submarine cable landing in Fortaleza and will provide multiple connection services for any operators or businesses requiring high capacity data services to run their modern, internet and technology driven enterprises. using submarine cables routes to expand business.
The recently completed facility is now open for business and offers scalability and continuous connectivity and hosting services for local, regional and international entities.

Owned and operated by Angola Cables, the advanced data centre currently occupies an area of 2 100m2 (Phase One), with a total area of 9 000m2 available for future expansion. The facility has an energy redundancy capacity of 12.5 MVA and currently houses 1 000 scalable racks offering customers a 99.98% service availability standard. Construction of the data center commenced in early 2017.
