Angelo Gordon, a New York-based equity group, has plans to develop a data center in Hong Kong. According to Mingtiandi, the company has submitted an application with the town planning board to build a 20MW data center. The data center will be located at No. 3 Kin Tai Street, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. Per the application, Angelo Gordon is looking to increase the plot ratio set for the site from 9.5 to 11.4. This will give way for a taller data center building.
The firm plans to build a 17-story building with 16 floors of data halls across the 14,875 square feet (1,382 square meters) building. The building will offer 157,100 square feet (14,600 square meters) of floor space. According to reports, Angelo Gordon already acquired the existing nine-story building for HK$500 million ($63.7 million) last year.
