This week, Agility Logistics Parks (ALP), a developer of industrial and logistics properties in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia, announced the inauguration of four tailored, master-planned data center campuses in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, and Ghana. ALP's current parks are being prepared with power allocation, fiber connection, and building licenses, according to the company. The initial campus group is inside ALP parks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Kuwait, Cairo, Egypt; and Accra-Tema, Ghana. The company anticipates adding locations in additional areas, including Nairobi, Kenya; Casablanca, Morocco; and Lagos, Nigeria, in the near future.

Inside the 9 million sq ft Agility Logistics Park in Riyadh, ALP has 25 MW and 882,640 square feet available for development. More than 10MW is accessible through rooftop solar installations on existing warehouses in the park. At its 3 million sq ft East Cairo Logistics Park, the firm offers 170,070 sq ft of space with 25 MW of power, scalable to 45 MW. At its 1.7 million sq ft logistics park in Tema, the firm provides 943,450 square feet and 30 megawatts (MW), scalable to 150 MW. Solar energy is accessible at all three locations, while hydroelectric electricity is also available in Tema. Philip from ALP stated that the company's location in Kuwait is equipped with an 80MW substation and 15MW solar capacity. The land is designated for two 495,150-square-foot data center plots with an extension capability of over 1 million square feet. The location is in a 14 million sq ft commercial and industrial zone that will open in 2024.

ALP operates about 16 million square feet of warehouse space and 130 million sq ft of industrial property in 12 countries. The unit is owned by Agility Public Warehousing Company, founded in 1979 as the state-owned Public Warehousing Co. The parent company, listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange, also operates Menzies Aviation and other logistics & transportation units.

There are 135 data centers in Middle East.
