Europe-Israel Group, P.A.I, Swiss fund Lian Group and singer Israeli singer Omer Adam have partnered up to build a NIS 400 million ($122.5 million) underground data center in Israel. Based on a 6.25-acre site in Afula, south of Nazareth, construction is expected to begin later this year, with a view of completion in 4-5 years.

The land was purchased for a total of NIS 80 million ($24.5 million), and the group is one of few in the area building underground data centers. They join tech giants Google, Microsoft and Amazon, who currently dominate the market.

There are 26 data centers in Israel.
