Macquarie to acquire AirTrunk

Jan 10, 2020 | Posted by Eric Bell

Bloomberg reports that AirTrunk has agreed to be acquired by Macquaire Infrastructure & Real Assets for $2.1 billion USD ($3 billion AUD).

AirTrunk, an Australian based provider, operates data centers in Sydney, Melbourne, and Singapore and has announced plans to open a facility in Hong Kong this year.

Macquarie has been busy on the acquisition front. In 2019, the investment firm acquired both Netrality and Bluebird Network in September 2019.

AirTrunk has 27 sites in 4 regions.
