AirTrunk has completed the fifth and last building at its SYD1 data center campus in Sydney, Australia. The company announced the completion of the campus’ first phase in 2017. The campus also sits on over seven hectares of land. In addition, the site features 337,000 square feet (35,000 square meters) of technical data hall area across 42 data halls. The company announced on LinkedIn that it had completed the fifth and final building at its 130MW SYD1 campus. According to the post, the 40+MW phase was completed two months ahead of schedule.
Aside from SYD1, AirTrunk also opened its 110MW SYD2 facility in North Sydney in 2021. The company also announced plans for its third Sydney campus. Upon full buildout, the company is expected to have over 500MW of data center capacity in Sydney. The company also has data centers in Melbourne, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; Hong Kong; and Singapore.
