Fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547) has announced the expansion of its data center located in Orangeburg, New York. The expansion sees 1547 add a new data hall to the facility, making available 2MW of capacity and an extra 16,800 square feet of white space. Before the expansion, the facility spans 21,550 square meters (232,000 square feet). It also had a capacity of 24MW. According to reports, the data center could be expanded to 41MW.
The data center was formerly owned by Green House Data which used to be affiliated with 1547. 1547 and CIM acquired the facility in 2019. The CEO of 1547, J Todd Raymond, said the Orangeburg facility would continue meeting the increased power, space and connectivity demands of customers in the New York area.
