About the Event

Projects & Money 2027 is a three-day energy project finance conference organized by Infocast, taking place January 19 to 21, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana. Serving as the annual kickoff for the U.S. energy project finance community since 2009, the 19th annual gathering convenes more than 1,000 attendees, over 125 expert speakers, and 30 content sessions. Participants include senior developers, independent power producers (IPPs), infrastructure equity investors, commercial bank lenders, private credit funds, utilities, and transaction advisors. The 2026 conference drew more than 990 participants.

The 2027 program features two concurrent tracks: the core Projects & Money track, focused on capital structures, tax equity, and risk allocation across utility-scale power projects, and the NextGen Energy Investment track, dedicated to the commercial financeability of advanced nuclear, long-duration energy storage, geothermal, and AI-driven power infrastructure. A major programming driver is the intersection of unprecedented power demand from artificial intelligence data centers, interconnection queue constraints, and emerging behind-the-meter power solutions.

Programming Focus

  • Capital availability across debt, tax equity, private credit, and infrastructure funds
  • Tax credit transferability and tax equity structuring following recent federal guidance and phaseout schedules
  • AI-driven power demand and digital infrastructure: financing dedicated power generation, microgrids, and firm energy supply for data centers
  • The return of reliability: underwriting firm power assets, natural gas generation, nuclear, and utility-scale energy storage
  • NextGen Energy Investment: commercializing advanced nuclear, enhanced geothermal systems, and long-duration storage
  • Risk allocation across supply chains, construction timelines, interconnection delays, and offtake agreements
  • Macroeconomic and regulatory dynamics: post-midterm energy policy, transmission expansion, and trade policies
