Yguazú Digital is a binational AI data center project between Paraguay and Taiwan, aiming to become the largest AI hub in South America with an investment of up to US$3 billion.

The project combines Taiwan's semiconductor and chip expertise with Paraguay's abundant hydroelectric power from the Itaipú Dam. Structured as a 50/50 joint venture and backed by Taiwan's ICDF, the first phase is planned near Asunción, targeting completion by end of 2027. Beyond technology, the project strengthens diplomatic ties between Taiwan and Paraguay, one of Taipei's few remaining formal allies.
