Project Busdorf

The proposed Rechenzentrum Busdorf is a high-density hyperscale data center project planned near the A7 motorway in Busdorf, designed to tap into Northern Germany's abundant renewable wind power infrastructure as part of an emerging regional multi-gigawatt cluster.

However, the project faces strong headwinds from environmental group BUND Schleswig-Holstein, which formally objected to the planning proposal over severe regional grid strain (up to 1.9 GW across local cluster sites), 100 hectares of combined land consumption, and a lack of viable waste-heat utilization plans.
