In a significant expansion of its digital infrastructure portfolio, Norwegian renewables investor Magnora has launched Magnora Scale Averøya, a data center project located in Kristiansund on Norway’s western coast. Developed in partnership with Averøy Industripark and industry veteran Tore Knapskog, the project will occupy a 120,000 sqm site designed to meet the surging demand for liquid-cooled, high-density capacity.
Magnora holds a 70% majority stake in the venture, leveraging its background in renewable energy and its recent acquisition of developer Storespeed to position the Nordics as a primary hub for sustainable, large-scale data processing.
