The proposed $10 billion Page Data Center project involves a massive 1-gigawatt campus on 500 acres of recreational land near the iconic Horseshoe Bend in Arizona. Spearheaded by the U.K.-based developer Huntley LLC through its subsidiary Rooskey, the plan received narrow approval from the Page City Council in October 2025. Council members cited potential job creation and tax revenue as primary benefits, yet the project faces a fierce "Turn the Page" backlash from residents concerned about water scarcity, grid strain, and the industrialization of scenic tourist corridors. Although a citizen-led referendum petition was disqualified for procedural errors in late 2025, local opposition remains highly active while the project moves into a critical 18 to 24 month feasibility study and rezoning phase.
