Humber Tech Park: Lincolnshire

Plans to build a £3 billion AI-training data center have been submitted to North Lincolnshire Council. The 3.3m sq ft scheme will be built on land by the A160 near South Killingholme and will range from a minimum of £2.2bn to over £3bn. If completed over a three to four-year period, the project would create at least 2,500 to 3,500 construction jobs annually, both on and off-site.

• The company is seeking permission to build a three million sq ft (278,000 sqm) facility across three buildings.
• This new type of data centre is designed to “train” artificial intelligence models that require high levels of computing and power capacity.
