The Global Telecom (Global Data Centre Sdn Bhd) project in Melaka represents a landmark RM9 billion investment aimed at establishing the state's first AI-based data centre. Situated on a strategic site in Jasin, the facility is designed across three high-tech buildings to serve as a critical hub for next-generation high-performance computing (HPC).

Unlike traditional facilities, this center is specifically engineered to handle extreme rack densities of up to 125 kW, incorporating advanced cooling solutions to support massive GPU clusters for generative AI. By leveraging Global Telecom's submarine cable networks, the project positions Melaka as a vital digital gateway in Malaysia, bridging the connectivity gap between established hubs in Cyberjaya and Johor.
