Within the next two years, the Indian software company Zoho Corporation intends to install its first data facility covering Latin America in Mexico. The company has two data centers in the United States that operate in tandem to ensure continuous service. The Mexico unit will also use this model.
Zoho has facilities in the data center hub of Mexico, Querétaro, as well as in Brazil and Colombia. The company also intends to establish a presence in Argentina. Its subsidiary in Brazil, Manage Engine, is also considering the implementation of a data center. The company is considering whether to collaborate with a regional business or construct a facility independently next to its offices in Santa Catarina or So Paulo.
This investment is also motivated by Brazil's data protection laws, which mandate that certain types of data reside within the country. Over the past four years, Zoho has added 10 million new end users per year in the region, according to the company. It is anticipated that this growth rate will continue this year. The company also anticipates expansion in the support applications market. Zoho has integrated artificial intelligence into its applications, and ChatGPT is in the works.
