Wipro has announced that it has sold its entire stake in data center firm Ensono for $76.24 million. This move comes after private equity firm KKR announced the acquisition of Ensono back in April for a reported $1.7 billion.
In 2018, Wipro had invested $55 million for a 10.2% stake in the business, following Ensono’s acquisition of its data center business for $405 million. KKR has now reportedly acquired Wipro’s stake in the business.
In a statement, Wipro said: “As part of the recently announced acquisition of Ensono by KKR, Wipro has sold its entire stake in Ensono Holdings, LLC for a consideration of $76.24 million. Consequent to the sale, Wipro does not hold any stake in Ensono Holdings, LLC.”
