Web Werks: Web Werks To Invest $50m in Developing a Hyperscale Facility in Noida, India

Web Werks has revealed that it would be investing Rs 200 crore ($50 million) in developing a new hyperscale data center in Noida, India. The company will start the development of the facility later this year. The data center will deliver up to 20MW of capacity. The company also schedules that the facility will come online in Q2 2023. Web Werks had an existing one-acre land in the city before acquiring another acre to expand the data center. 

Noida is a city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The state also has a data center policy that allows Web Werks receive benefits like special provisions in electricity supply, building norms, etc. In addition, the Uttar Pradesh government is also looking to invest up to Rs 20,000 crore ($5 billion) in the data center industry over the next five years. The state is also looking to develop up to 250MW of data center capacity across the state.
