Vertiv has announced the launch of the Vertiv Liebert PKDX, a solution aimed at making thermal management more efficient. The company highlights that thermal management is one of a data centers largest energy costs, traditionally accounting for an average of 40% of power consumption. This solution subsequently meets India's growing data center demand and accompanying cooling requirements.

The units include intelligent controls, rack sensors, and central optimizing system control for greater data center thermal management optimization, and a standalone unit which reportedly offers up to 280kW net sensible capacity return air conditioning. It is also a zero-water utilization unit.

"Given the increased dependency on data centers, it is imperative that enterprises adopt efficient and reliable IT infrastructure and cooling solutions," Yadav said.

Yadav added that enterprises need to find ways to "quickly and effectively" get rid of the heat generated by their equipment: "We're happy to be launching the Vertiv Liebert PKDX in India, to support our customers' and partners' cooling requirements to optimize their data center sites," he said.
