Varanium Cloud, an Indian digital technology startup, has opened a new Edge data center in Maharashtra. This week, the company's Hydra Web Services unit opened a containerized data facility in the municipality of Kudal in the Sindhudurg region. Although no details were provided, photos imply the deployment is housed inside three standard-sized shipping crates. This week, the company announced on LinkedIn that it was happy to celebrate the successful opening of Hydra Web Services' Containerised Edge Data Center in Kudal, Sindhudurg. Another facility was opened in Panjim, Goa, at the end of December 2022. A third facility will open in Mumbai after March.
According to the corporation, the facilities are a 'proprietary-designed containerized unit.' Per the company's most recent semi-annual report, it intends to install at least three containerized data centers in H2 2023. Per the company, these Edge data centers are projected to play a significant role in increasing gross margins and bringing high computing environments closer to the customer, a vital component of the 5G rollout need. According to Varanium Cloud, it intends to provide digital, technology, and Internet providers in tier-two cities. The company operates several businesses, including Edmission, an ed-tech company; Hydra Web Solutions, a VOIP provider; Cable Cloud, a white-label TV service; & TUG Digital, an e-commerce platform.
