Data center firm ValorC3 has secured new financing to support its expansion in Idaho. The company this week announced it has closed a credit facility with Apterra Infrastructure Capital, though the size of the financing was not disclosed. The funds will be used to continue construction of ValorC3’s greenfield data center project in Boise. The facility is anchored by a long-term lease with “one of the world’s leading hyperscale technology companies.”

"Closing this facility marks an important step in ValorC3's growth and affirms our ability to execute creative, efficient financing solutions to support a growing development pipeline," said Carter Groves, CFO of ValorC3 Data Centers. "We are excited to partner with Apterra, whose balance sheet capacity and long-term approach position them as an ideal capital partner alongside our sponsor CVC DIF as we continue to scale the platform."

"We are pleased to support ValorC3 on this transaction and look forward to building a long-term relationship," stated Ralph Cho and Michael Pantelogianis, co-CEOs of Apterra. "The Boise greenfield data center project exemplifies the type of high-quality, contracted digital infrastructure assets we seek to finance."

The company entered the Boise market in 2020 with the acquisition of Fiberpipe Data Centers. The existing facility, located at 10215 W Emerald Street, spans 45,600 sq ft (4,250 sqm) and was built in 1999, offering 2MW of capacity with expansion potential to 5MW, according to Valor. ValorC3 was originally founded in 2008 in Utah as a subsidiary of developer Kay H. Traveller. DIF Capital Partners (now CVC DIF) acquired the company in early 2023.

ValorC3 Data Centers has 3 sites.
