Technology company Unisys Corp. revealed its plans to sell its 32-acre data center campus just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota, and relocate to an undetermined area in the Twin Cities.
Shea Kolanowski, Unisys’ deputy chief administrative officer, told BizJournal, “We intend to relocate our associates, data center, and lab space in Eagan to another area within the Minneapolis market.
This site at 3199 Pilot Knob Road, built in 1986, is owned by Unisys- a company formed in 1986 by merging mainframe corporations Sperry and Burroughs. A previous Baxtel entry notes that the two-story campus is approximately 118,000 square feet, with more than 250 professionals on-site.
BizJournal has also suggested that this property is valued at about $13.2 million. The city is working towards a plan to address the future use of the offices and data center campus. The city’s description notes, “These sites are now vacant or underused and candidates for rehabilitation and/or redevelopment.”
