United States: Twitter experiences continual outages: Issues attributed to data center issues and staff cuts

Twitter continues to experience outages, which are impacting a number of users. The most recent outage occurred yesterday. Reports are that users were experiencing issues with their timeline, instead greeted with messaging saying, "Welcome to Twitter! This is the best place to see what's happening in your world. Find some people and topics to follow now."
Since Elon Musk took the reins of the company, Twitter's staff has shrunk from 7,500 to less than 2,000 employees following successive rounds of job cuts, including Esther Crawford, Twitter's director of product management, who recently got the chop. Further, the New York Times has reported the giant had cut 10% of its current 2000-strong workforce just this week. This is coupled with Musk closing one of the company's three main data centers. The two factors have been cited as likely contributors to the outages.
According to Alp Toker, director of internet outage tracker NetBlocks, for example, although reliability issues began just before the Musk takeover, incidents have since surged. Moreover, he classified the recent outages as "avoidable," with the "vast majority" traced back to issues with Twitter's data center.
