The Ministry of the Digital of Economy and Digital Transformation recently announced the inauguration of Togo’s first data center. A Tier III+ facility built by CFAOP Technologies will provide sensitive data hosting as a neutral colocation facility.

The facility took two and a half years to build and was made possible through a CFA12.2 billion cash injection from the World Bank. This was part of the West Africa Regional Communications Infrastructure Program (WARCIP). A further $11 million was provided by the International Development Association (IDA).
