Indian firm CtrlS Datacenters has partnered with Thailand's government-owned telecommunications company to construct a new data center campus in Chonburi. Last week, the company and National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for CtrlS' forthcoming 150MW data center campus. The new campus will connect to several NT cable landing stations (CLS) and feature the construction of a new teleport.
CtrlS announced last month that it was planning a project in Thailand, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) to lease a 10-acre parcel of land for 50 years for a site in Chonburi Province. The new data center is near submarine cable landing stations for the extant AAG (Asia-America Gateway) cable system and the forthcoming ADC (Asia Direct Cable) cable system.
CtrlS and NT have reportedly entered a 'collaboration of convergence' for data center colocation services, cable landing stations, network connectivity hubs, and numerous cloud-based services.
