Etisalat: Telkom Indonesia and Etisalat to develop $100m data center in Batam, Indonesia

According to Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Telkom Indonesia and Etisalat are joining forces to develop a new data center in northwest Indonesia. This announcement comes as the country undergoes a data center construction boom and is expected to reach a value of USD$ 3.07 billion by 2026.
The Ministry reports that telkom companies from the United Arab Emirates, Etisalat and Telkom, are planning to invest up to US$100 million in the development at the 166.45-hectare Nongsa Digital Park in Batam, Riau Islands.
In a press release, the Indonesian Government has stated that it is targeting data center developments from 150MW to 400MW there.
Citramas Group developed the park on which the facility will be built.
