Telehouse: Telehouse to expand its largest existing DC facility

KDDI-owned global data center service provider Telehouse Europe has announced plans to upgrade its largest existing data center, Telehouse South in London. The company announced that Skanska will be the contractor to complete the first phase of this upgrade which is expected to be finalized by June 2024. 

This planned upgrade to this facility includes new implementation of mechanical, electrical and public health infrastructures. Its overall capacity will also increase to 7.7 MW across three floors of colocation space. Existing plant areas will be redesigned while redundant plant and equipment from the entire building will be revamped and recycled.

It is something we are ideally suited for, as we are experienced in delivering a wide range of data center fit outs” This contract will be the one of the largest fit outs, in terms of financial value, that Skanska UK has undertaken.”
