T-Mobile has opened a new data center in Warsaw, Poland. The new 46,200 square feet (4,300 square meters) data center has three stories, and it offers 18,300 square feet (1,700 square meters) of colocation space across eight data halls. T-Mobile claims to have secured a top business customer as a tenant at the facility. The unnamed customer has taken 2,700 square feet (250 square meters) at the facility. In addition, reports show that the data center has a PUE of 1.3.
The president of T-Mobile Polska, Andreas Maierhofer, said the company is only able to transform to a comprehensive technology company from a telco because of investments in data centers and the development of cloud technologies. He added that the company being one of the largest cloud services providers in Poland, is great as it can continue supporting its partners’ digital transformation. T-Mobile currently has six data centers in Poland across Wroclaw, Krakow, and Warsaw.
