Sweden: T.Loop to place data center in Stockholm’s slaughterhouse district

Swedish Edge data center firm T.Loop l ast week announced it had entered into an agreement with real estate development firm Atrium Ljungberg for operational management of the Palmfelt Datacenter in the Slaughterhouse area of the capital.
"We see great potential in the data center, which is considered a Tier III compliant data center with high operational reliability. In addition, the physical security is high, which enables the placement of IT customers with high protection requirements," said Johan Hedman, head of operations at T.Loop. "We have a very good collaboration with Atrium Ljungberg's staff and we look forward to being part of the area's ongoing development."
"The potential is great for data center operation in the area and we look positively on the progress we are making together with T.Loop regarding the efficient management of the Palmfelt Center," says Åke Reichard, property manager for the property area Slaughterhouse area. "We see a need for data power in the area and welcome in addition, through its concept, T.Loop can contribute to the property receiving both a more cost-effective energy classification and a reduced climate footprint."
