Switch invests $772m in another Georgia facility outside Atlanta

Switch is preparing to construct a new data center facility in Bartow County, Georgia. Switch is preparing to build the "Switch KEEP 2.0 Atlanta North Campus" in Cartersville, according to the Developments of Regional Impact filings (DRI, 1-2).

The 126-acre site is located in Cartersville, south of the intersection of Old Alabama Road and Bates Road to the Paulding County line. Currently, Carter Grove (Atlanta) ASLI VI owns the property. This phase of the project is characterized in one filing as "a single data center facility approximately 1,620ft (493m) in length." The enterprise plans to invest $772 million in the campus. The project's first phase is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2026, with construction continuing until 2046. Switch has not yet announced the initiative.

Reportedly, a future phase of the Carter Grove residential neighborhood. When construction began in the early 2000s, the original plan called for up to 2,500 residences. Currently, there are approximately 400 in the region.

Switch has 38 sites in 13 regions.
