ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) has officially inaugurated its first data center facility in Indonesia. The company revealed the launch of STT Jakarta 1 in Bekasi, west of Jakarta, one week ago. The first structure offers 19.5MW across 198,850 square feet. The completed campus will support up to 72MW of capacity across three structures.
The campus is being developed in collaboration with leading Indonesian conglomerate Triputra Group and global investment firm Temasek (the owner of STT GDC). It was first disclosed in May 2021. Triputra is an Indonesian conglomerate with operations in agribusiness, manufacturing, mining, and commerce that is now seeking to enter the data center industry.
