Zhaolong Interconnect Technology Co., a well-known cable supplier in China, will offer Active Copper Cable (ACC) parts and components with 112G PAM4 signaling to Hyperscalers and OEM/ODMs in both North America and China. These configurations will include Spectra7's GC1122 GaugeChangerTM chips, which are a leading supplier of high-performance analog computer chips for broadband connectivity markets. According to Tony Yao, vice general manager of Zhaolong, the North American and Chinese data center markets are pushing the boundaries of connection speed, and at hyper-scale, all data center clients are more sensitive than ever to the cost, routability, and power of high-speed interconnects. They are showing a lot of interest in Spectra7's technology as well as their Microlink technology, which produces high-speed cables with a noticeably smaller gauge.
With the aid of the innovative analog redriver technology known as GaugeChanger, copper may be extended to considerably greater distances without suffering the financial or energy costs associated with systems based on optics or DSP. Rival systems sometimes consume 700–1000% more power than GaugeChanger technology from Spectra7. According to Spectra7 CMO John Mitchell, they are overjoyed to be collaborating with Zhaolong to increase access to their ACC solutions through the use of Spectra7's ground-breaking GaugeChanger technology. Manufacturer of cable and cable assemblies for usage in the Hyperscale, OEM, and ODM connection sectors, Zhaolong is a vibrant and quickly expanding company. Hyperscale clients in North America that are now building their next generation of data centers and expect to start deploying them later in 2023 are particularly interested in Spectra7's GC1122 processors.
