India / Bhārata: Sophos opens data center in India

Sophos has announced that its Mumbai-based data center is now open. Hosted by AWS, the facility is the company's third in the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Speaking about the facility, Sunil Sharma, managing director of sales for India and SAARC, Sophos said: "With massive digital transformation due to accelerated cloud adoption, many Indian organizations want to store their data in the country to meet data sovereignty requirements."

Adding: "The local data center enables Sophos to address the business issues that impact cybersecurity buying decisions of these organizations. This will make it as easy as possible for customers and partners to access the best threat protection and detection and data storage options available from Sophos."
