VIRTUS Data Centres Ltd: Skanska wins £53m contract to develop Virtus London11 data center

Construction firm Skanska has been awarded the contract of developing the Virtus London11 data center. The company is in charge of developing the £53 million ($70m) data center with work scheduled to begin on the site this month. The facility is also scheduled to be completed in the Spring of 2023. 

Plans for the data center was first revealed in 2020. The facility was also scheduled to be in operation in November 2022. The data center will add 13MW of new capacity across 59,200 square feet (5,500 square meters) of technical space. The development will see Virtus’ total data center capacity increase to 178MW across over 829,000 square feet (77,000 square meters) of space.
