Selectel will be developing a data center in Moscow, Russia. The data center firm will span 48,400 square feet (4,500 square meters) while also offering 20MW in capacity. The data center will be called Yurlovsky, and it will have the capacity to house up to 2,000 racks. The data center is scheduled to come online in 2023. Selectel’s director of infrastructure, Aleksey Eremenko, said the data center would be developed to Tier IV standards.
Furthermore, the facility will use outside air cooling technology. In addition, the company will also explore expanding its existing facilities while also looking at new locations for new data centers. The Yurlovsky facility will become the company’s second facility in Moscow. Its current data center in the state offers 6.5MW in capacity across 25,800 square feet (2,400 square meters) of data center space. It also has four data centers across Leningrad and Saint Petersburg with about 16MW of capacity across 53,800 square feet (5,000 square meters) of data center space.
