Scala Data Centers has signed a PPA with Italian energy firm Enel Américas for data center power. The firm will reportedly provide the data center company with 1.6GW of power for its facilities across Chile, Peru, and Colombia, in a deal that represents 10% of Enel Américas' total existing capacity.

According to reports, 600MW of this power will go to Scala's Tamboré hyperscale campus in São Paulo state. In a conversation with BNamericas, Scala's CEO Marcos Peigo said that Tamboré is actually one of the six largest campuses in the world and among the largest in Latin America.
