The two plots of land totaL 35.71 acres, and are either side of Dell Technologies' global headquarters, with whom Switch is developing a growing partnership with.

The addition of ‘The Rock,’ algonside its DF's ~60MW facilities, means Switch will now operate 2 million sq ft (185,000 sq m) of space and 185MW of power in Texas. That said, the company is also reportedly pursuing further expansion in the state.

Robert Elliott, Switch vice president, commented: "We've been around since 2000 — for 22 years and we have grown consistently as data has grown across the country. This is our fifth campus that we're building and we're just super excited to get started and to be a part of the technology economy here in Round Rock."
