Rostelecom seeks to build a new data center in Armenia

Rostelecom is reportedly looking to expand its presence in Armenia, after the company’s President Mikhail Oseevsky met with Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan and his deputy Narek Teryan this week to discuss plans.

Speaking about this, the Armenian Ministry of the Economy said: "During the meeting they discussed the company's programs in Armenia, new strategic projects and investment initiatives related, in particular, to the construction of [a] data center, improvement of Internet services in Armenia.”

Further details regarding locations, specifications, or timelines have not yet been shared.

Rostelecom has 18 sites.

The data center has its own 24/7 security service. Entrances to the territory and premises of NORD‑4 are equipped with access control system (ACS), which protects from unauthorized access.
