India / Bhārata: PlanckDot raises $1 million for Edge data center roll-out

Indian startup PlanckDot, a start-up specializing in Edge data centers, has secured $1.6 million in funding from high-net-worth angel investors for its Edge data center roll-out. According to the company’s website, it builds and deploys digital infrastructures and EV charging stations. Its Vigilante product reportedly monitors, secures, and optimizes operations in real-time.
Ali Ahmed Saleem, CFO and co-founder of PlanckDot, said: “Our focus is to create transformative change in the data center space through collaborations and research. PlanckDot is poised to lead India’s data center expansion and growth due to the demand for digital services and cloud computing. According to CBRE, India plans to invest $20 billion in digital infrastructure, and we and our customers are committed to becoming a substantial part of this expansion.”
He continued: “We have recently launched two Tier III compliant Edge data center facilities for our customers, with seven more on the cards to be delivered soon. By the end of the year, we are bound to increase our data center numbers by thirteen times the numbers we have achieved till now.”
