Orange signs two vPPAs in Romania

European renewable energy firm Enery this week announced it had signed two virtual power purchase agreements with the companies part of the Orange Romania Group. Following the agreement, Enery is expected to provide an annual supply of 70,000MWh of clean energy to Orange.

Severin Vartigov, chief commercial officer of Enery, said, “The collaborations with the Orange Romania Group underscore our unwavering dedication to supporting businesses on their journey toward decarbonization. Our mission is to join forces with our partners in shaping a more sustainable energy landscape, while inspiring others to embark on bold initiatives for a greener future.”

The contract covers Orange Group Romania companies: Orange Romania, Orange Romania Communications, and NextGen Communications. The agreements also include a virtual cross-border PPA.
