A former Capital One facility in Chester, Virginia, is being marketed by Chirisa to hyperscalers. Chirisa Technology Parks, a subsidiary of Chirisa that was recently established, lists the facility located at 1401 Meadowville Technology Pkwy outside of Richmond on its official website as available. Additionally, the facility is listed on LoopNet.
The 242,000-square-foot building contains 18,270 square feet of built-out white space and 127,935 square feet of future data hall shell space. There are 304 45u racks and 48 network cabinets on the premises. The structure itself is LEED Gold certified. The facility was constructed in 2013 for Capital One. In 2012, the corporation announced it would invest $150 million in constructing a new center in Chesterfield County.
After Capital One left the site, Digital Fortress, a subsidiary of Chirisa, assumed control. The company relaunched the facility in May 2021, stating that the site had day-one availability of 18,270 sq ft and 4.1MW of capacity in a single data hall, in addition to a 200,000 sq ft shell core expansion space enabling up to 25MW.
