Northern Data AG: Northern Data Group divides its operations into three brands

Northern Data Group, a provider of infrastructure for high-performance computing (HPC), has segregated its operations into three distinct brands: Taiga Cloud, Ardent Data Centers, and Peak Mining. Northern Data Group will continue to be the corporate parent of the three new brands, while the affiliates will be managed by the Group's three managing directors. Aroosh Thillainathan will continue to serve as CEO of Northern Data Group. Taiga Cloud will provide cloud services for generative AI in Europe. Karl Havard will lead the company, which will offer GPU computing capacity powered by renewable energy.
Ardent Data Centers will concentrate on constructing data center environments that employ liquid cooling technology designed to house HPC systems. Corey Needles will lead Ardent. A data center in Boden, Sweden, with a maximum capacity of 12 MW, and one in Lefdal, Norway, are listed by the company under the Ardent Data Centers brand. Additionally, the company's website mentions a presence in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and Germany.
In 2020, Northern Data commissioned a data center near Maastricht, Netherlands, characterized as "one of the largest GPU clusters in the world," in November, it commissioned a second data center in Frankfurt. Niek Beueker will lead Peak Mining, concentrating on Bitcoin mining operations.
