New Data Center Simulator Game lets Players Build and Manage their own Facility, Set for Release in March

A data center simulator game – aptly named “Data Center” – where you can “build, cable, and grow a living data center,” is set to release later next month. Players will have to “build, cable, and grow a living data center from the group up,” according to the game’s description on Steam.

Unlike traditional business simulation games that task players with managing multiple outlets and driving expansion strategies, Data Center centers on the hands-on experience of designing and constructing a facility, with a strong emphasis on the “tactile” aspects of the build process

This makes it more similar to games where players are in charge of one individual store or process, like Papa’s Pizzeria or Supermarket Simulator.

The game also represents customer traffic as “colored packet-balls rolling along your cables, revealing bottlenecks, [and] idle links.”

The game is the solo project of Czechia-based video game developer Vaclav Novak, otherwise known as Waseku.
