New data center for Peruvian National Police (PNP). The data center would reportedly aid the PNP in battling organized crime and publicizing its efforts to do so, according to the Intelligence Directorate (Dirin). Vincente Romero, the interior minister, officially opened the facility, which has a worth of approximately $3.45 million. The Executing Unit 037 Peru Seguro 2025 contributed funding. The facility's capacity and location are both secret. With the use of this platform, according to Romero, they will be able to break up gangs and criminal organizations and stop criminals. Without a question, he said, it represents a significant turning point. They can increase the effectiveness of police activities and continue to develop as an institution with the best possible information gathering and analysis.

DIRIN has received a TIA-942 certificate for a data center in Lima, the country's capital, even if the exact site wasn't disclosed. The data center will enhance computer problem recovery and offer "continuity of services," which generate intelligence for combating crime. Targeting organized gangs, hit men, and predatory crimes like extortion is the PNP's main goal. According to the PNP, the data center was built and put into use in accordance with international design and construction standards. The Chilean firm GTD has sold a portion of its data center business, which includes a data center in Peru, to Macquarie Capital. As part of a five-year, $600 million investment plan, the GTD subsidiary also intends to construct facilities in Lurn, Peru, and Barranquilla, Colombia. Amazon Web Services opened a Local Zone in Lima, Peru, in January of this year.
