Microsoft is teaming up with NTR to gain access to wind energy for Sweden. The corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) will see the energy firm provide Microsoft's Sweden Central Azure cloud region with power from its 86MW Norra Vedbo wind project, which consists of 20 Vestas V150 4.3MW turbines.

The wind farm will be located in the county of Jonkoping, southern Sweden. Moreover, according to reports, estimates say that the amount of power produced by the project could serve the annual consumption of about 44,000 households.

The project, owned by NTR and Reichmuth Infrastructure, is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of 2022.
