Microsoft Azure: Microsoft Signs Agreement With HTX To Develop Sovereign Cloud in Singapore

Microsoft has signed a strategic agreement with Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX). The deal will see Microsoft develop a sovereign cloud to speed up the digital transformation and innovation of Singapore’s HTX. It will also help sort Singapore’s Home Team Departments’ emerging technology needs. In addition, the deal will also help introduce job developments, skilling, and training initiatives. Both Microsoft and HTX noted that the new sovereign cloud would be built on the Azure platform while also equipping HTX with on-demand, superior-performance data storage and cloud computing.

The CEO of HTX, Chan Tsan, said the agreement with Microsoft will help HTX break out of the norm in innovation while also being a leader in technology. He added that it would further improve the capabilities of the Home Team while also making the country the safest place on earth. Besides, the partnership will see Microsoft make available 600 training seats and certificates to HTX annually.
