200 people are anticipated to work at the Microsoft facility in Mount Pleasant during its initial phase, according to an executive summary provided to the village's Plan Commission. When completed, the data center will provide 460 employees, including 330 first-shift positions and 130 second-shift positions. The data center's construction is anticipated to commence this year. The completion of the data center's construction is anticipated in 2034.

Paul Englis, Microsoft's principal program manager, stated at an April meeting of the Racine County Board that the number of jobs at the Mount Pleasant center would be in the hundreds, not the thousands. A data center employs fewer employees than a manufacturing plant or large warehouse. Their observations at typical campuses range from 300 to 400. Typically, a typical building houses approximately 50 individuals.

The project data center is on 318.6 acres of land within the Foxconn development territory. It is located in the eastern portion of Area III, within Tax Increment District No. 5 of the village. The parcel of land is in the village of Mount Pleasant, south of Braun Road, north of Highway KR (1st Street), east of the Canadian Pacific Railroad right-of-way, and west of 90th Street. Microsoft paid $50 million to the village for the land and intended to spend $1 billion to construct the data center. Microsoft operates roughly 200 data centers worldwide. This week, in response to a request for additional information about job numbers, the company reissued a general statement about the initiative.
