Qatari data center operator Meeza has completed a 4MW expansion project for an unnamed global hyperscaler, delivering the facility nine months ahead of schedule. The project follows a QAR 350 million ($96 million) hosting agreement signed in 2025, under which Meeza will provide the customer with data center capacity for more than a decade. The company said the expansion will support faster cloud service deployment and Qatar’s digital infrastructure growth.

Mohamed Ali Al-Ghaithani, CEO of Meeza, said: “Completing the project nine months early demonstrates the dedication of our teams and reinforces the confidence that global technology leaders place in Meeza as their trusted digital infrastructure partner.

“As demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing continues to accelerate, Meeza remains committed to investing in world-class digital infrastructure that supports Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and positions the country as a preferred destination for hyperscale cloud investments.”

Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 aims to accelerate digital infrastructure investment and diversify the economy beyond oil and gas. Meeza has continued expanding its hyperscale capacity, signing a separate 6MW hosting agreement with an undisclosed cloud provider valued at more than QAR 750 million ($205 million). The company operates five data centers in Qatar, including its M-VAULT 5 facility in Doha’s Qatar Science and Technology Park. Meeza completed its IPO in 2023, listing 50 percent of its issued share capital on the Qatar Stock Exchange.meeza_MV6.width-358.png
