The MainOne subsidiary in Ghana, MDXi Appolonia, recently received its Tier III constructed facility certification (TCCF) from the Uptime Institute. MainOne is an Equinix company. With the top four certifications in the sector, including the Tier III Constructed Facility certification, TCCF, the PCI-DSS certification, which authorizes the data center to process payment card information, and the ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications, which guarantee information security and quality assurance at the MDXi Appolonia Data Center, the company claims that the new milestone establishes the organization as the leading data center provider in Ghana. After an onsite assessment by the Uptime team, the MDXi Appolonia facility was awarded this TCCF, an improvement above the Tier Certification of Design Documents (TCCD) that Uptime had previously given after reviewing the facility's designs during construction.

The data center is controlled by highly skilled, best-in-class engineers working out of a cutting-edge Operations Center that complies with international standards. It has private data center suites, enterprise-grade round-the-clock multi-level security and video monitoring, precision temperature control, safety, and fire suppression mechanisms with multiple redundancies implemented into them, and it has maintained 100% uptime since its launch.

The MDXi Appolonia data center provides a direct connection to MainOne and other submarine cable systems, as well as open access connectivity options to all of Ghana's top telecom networks. It provides connection to several Internet Exchanges, such as the LINX (London), IXPN (Nigeria), DECIX (Frankfurt/Lisbon), GIX (Ghana), and Cote d'Ivoire Internet Exchange (CIVIX), in addition to the West Africa Internet Exchange (WAF-IX).
