Scala Data Centers has announced its partnership with Maxihost, with the global bare metal cloud provider choosing Scala to help it expand the capacity of its MH1 São Paulo facility.
According to Guilherme Soubihe Alberto, CEO of Maxihost, the company's MH1 facility is reaching capacity, and the decision to partner with Scala came about to ensure it has the infrastructure to support its "rapidly expanding growth rate."
He added: "Thus, the partnership with Scala provides us with an environment of exceptional scalability, reliability, quality, and security, ensuring the continuity of our business in the long term."
Meanwhile, Cleber Braz, Vice President of Business Development & Customer Services, commented: "We enable a robust data center platform that guarantees the necessary infrastructure customization, in line with a long-term commitment to delivering connectivity, security, and power that will enable Maxihost to correctly size its upcoming increased capacity requirements."
Scala customers will have direct access to Maxihost's hardware and bare metal capabilities as part of the partnership. Moreover, its new MH2 facility will be deployed at Scala's SP2 data center, where a "high-speed optical fiber ring" will be established, connecting it to the existing MH1 facility (just 6 km away). This will ensure low latency connectivity between the sites.
